MONDAY OCT 8, 6PM-8PM

Directions to Dovecote:
Drop-off location is at the display space:
13000 Athens, Space 337 (third floor)
Lakewood, Ohio 44107
For drop-off on Thursday and Monday, please use the west drive (off Athens Ave) and park anywhere you can find a space (please be careful not to block in any other vehicles or trucks.) Make your way toward the large chimney on the back southwest corner of the building. There are dock doors just to the east of the chimney. Through those are the freight elevator and stairs. Follow the stairs to the top, through the door, then forward and to the right and right again. Dovecote is marked on the door.
**On Sunday, the west gate is closed and you will need to come through the back entrance. This is located off of Bramley. Follow the west drive north through the parking lot toward the chimney.

To Prepare Jewelry for Drop-off/Mailing:
Please mark each piece with its inventory sheet number, price, and your name. This can be marked for each on a plastic bag or envelope. No need to use fancy tags, we will be price tagging each piece during the installation so that everyone's tags look the same. Also, no need to use up your favorite earring cards. We'll be displaying everything as simply as possible while making sure they look great and that people will know who made them and how much they cost.

Quick details about the show:
-artists don't need to be present, all sales/tax and installation will be handled by Dovecote/Cleveland Handmade Markets, no commission is taken.
-paid print advertising will be done (the size and frequency will depend on the number of participating artists, presently we have a full page in a popular local weekly)
-artists will need to drop off/mail their work about a week prior to the opening night and then pickup within about a week or arrange for its return. a few drop-off and pick-up times will be scheduled when we have an idea of when all artists are available
-at drop-off, you will need to bring your work, labeled with prices, and sign an inventory list and an agreement acknowledging you are leaving the work in our care at your own risk. every precaution will be taken to keep your work safe, but we cannot be responsible for individual items stolen. if your piece is damaged by us, we will reimburse you for the retail cost of the piece.
-you are not required to stay with your work while the show is open to the public, but you are welcome to stick around if you'd like to
-all sales will be handled by a central checkout. cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted for payment.
-space fees will cover advertising, insurance, special event rental fees, wages for Dovecote/CHM staff members manning the event, supplies for the opening reception party and other production costs
-participants will receive the sum of their sales (less any credit card processing fees) by check when they pick up any unsold pieces or within a week of the close of the show.
-all, yes, ALL makers of handmade jewelry are invited to participate. finally! :)
